    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Laboratory Admin Coordinator - Per Diem Days 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM; Rotating Schedule - Path. Admin. -.

    In this role, the successful candidate Working with the minimum of supervision prepares and submits payroll including and not limited to all pertinent information Assists Administrative Director in a wide variety of statistical reports confidential reports and the like Duties range from scheduling coverage monthly statistics preparing manuals keeping lab compliance reports and personnel files

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Payroll Preparation and Evaluation
    Performance Expectations:
    • Completes payroll information within established time frames.
    • Verifies attendance records and posts data on employee attendance records.
    • Keeps accurate account of employee sick time utilization, holiday, vacation and personal days taken.
    • Identifies problems, patterns and trends and brings to the attention of the Administrative Director.
    • Maintains current accrual reports and distributes to supervisors each pay period.

    2. Development and Documentation
    Performance Expectations:
    • Developed program for monthly dashboard statistics and submits data to Administrative Director monthly.
    • Develops systems and implements for updating all lab manuals yearly (i.e. GI 1, GI 2, Infection Control, Safety, etc.)
    • Develops and implements program to monitor timely laboratory staff compliance on yearly physicals, de’Medici, Evaluations, Competency Assessments, etc.
    • Develops Laboratory Overtime Report to assist supervisors in weekend coverage and keeps report current.
    • Tracks employee mandations over the last six months.
    • Develops with Administrator additional programs as needed.

    3. Personnel Records Documentation
    Performance Expectations:
    • Maintains and keeps current laboratory personnel files and forwards documents to Human Resources.
    • Submits all PCRs to Human Resources and other documents in a timely fashion.
    • Maintains updated laboratory personnel list.
    • Identifies issues with lab employees and brings to the attention of Administrative Director.
    • Organizes and updates laboratory manual in a timely and accurate manner

    4. Secretarial Duties
    Performance Expectations:
    • Writes memos, letters and reports that reflect professional expertise for Administrative Director and Supervisors.
    • Courteously and efficiently answers laboratory phones.
    • Assists Administrative Director in acquiring coverage and overtime approval.
    • Organizes and develops monthly reports (ie. Dashboard graphs, overtime report)

    5. Ability to Prioritize Work
    Performance Expectations:
    • Keeps ahead of work
    • Plans for the unexpected.
    • Prioritizes daily and weekly activity.
    • Identifies problems and potential problems and brings them to Administrative Director’s attention for timely solution.
    • Able to use independent knowledge and judgement in related tasks

    6. Quality and Quantity of Performance
    Performance Expectations:
    • Keeps all reports, manuals, letters, memos submitted to Administrative Director in a professional and organized manner.
    • Makes time for all unexpected projects that arise.
    • Able to redirect and prioritize as situations arises.
    • Assists in development of new work flows as needed

    7. Other Functions and Performance Expectations
    Performance Expectations:
    • Maintains a consistent pattern of attendance.
    • Reports to assigned area on time for scheduled shift.
    • Adheres to hospital/department dress code. Arrives to work appropriately dressed, ell groomed and neat.
    • Completes all hospital requirements at designated times. (i.e. annual assessment, educational, MedNetTra)
    • Conforms to policies regarding confidentiality of information
    • Follows call-in procedure when, sick, late or absent.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a General Clerical ability with 2 3 years experience performing clerical tasks General Computer Experience Word Power Point Excel High School Diploma Analytical skills necessary to organize and calculate payroll Ability to prepare and type statistical and activity reports Ability to work with minimum of supervision

    Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.45 - $26.78 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
