Laboratory Support Tech I
Part-Time; Evening Shift; Every other Saturday and Sunday 1p-9:30pm
Overview
Under direct supervision, collects blood samples by performing venipunctures or finger or heel sticks on patients. Checks the quality of blood and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of the patient, following established standards and practices. Processes all samples within the department, either manually or using automation equipment, including send-outs.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Candidate must provide proof or offical transcripts. Completion of an accredited program in phlebotomy is preferred. Certification as a registered phlebotomist by a nationally recognized Phlebotomy Society, such as the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2+ year of work experience as a phlebotomist is preferred. Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. Experience with processing/assessing is preferred
