Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Laboratory - Part Time Evenings - Clinical Labs-Evening Lab - Part-Time -.
In this role, the successful candidate Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs various clinical laboratory tests in one or more sections of the Laboratory Department in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease Analyzes and interprets test results and ensures accuracy of same Repeat tests as necessary especially those yielding abnormal or atypical results and notifies appropriate personnel of such results

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a BS in Medical Technology which includes a clinical internship or BS in a related discipline with one year supervised clinical laboratory experience NYS Education Department Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Eligible Professional accreditation preferred Analytical skills necessary to analyze data and perform mathematical calculations Basic knowledge of computer fundamentals and experience with laboratory information systems Technical skills necessary to operate maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and perform routine and complex testing Effectively communicates detailed data and procedures Works effectively in high pressure situations Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills Performs supervisory responsibilities.

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $48.81 - $59.95 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
