Our Med/Surg nurses enjoy caring for a diverse patient population from the areas of general surgery, transplant, orthopedic, neurology, cardiac, oncology and urology. The nursing staff enjoys active collaboration with a variety of multidisciplinary services. The Med/Surg nurses thrive in an atmosphere of rapid patient turnover to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. A close collaboration with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Case Managers is evidenced through daily patient rounds. Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes complete computerized charting (EPIC) for patient assessment and care documentation, and to electronically record medication administration for the delivery of all medications provided to their patients. Computerized self-scheduling is available. Qualifications 1 year experience required Education: Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration: -Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration BLS certification with American Heart Association Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Clinical Skills/Technical Knowledge a.
