Oversees the work of the assigned department staff and helps with operational, budgetary and personnel activities of the Pharmacy Department. Develops and approves schedules. Prepares and dispenses medications to patients. Assesses the appropriateness of the physician's medication orders and provides accurate and appropriate drug information to health care professionals. Coordinates or performs functions detailed in the compounding and dispensing procedures. Provides care to patients of varying ages with age related needs.

Required Experience
A. WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) years’ work experience in a management/leadership position in a hospital setting.
B. LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Current licensed Pharmacist in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
- Current CPR certification
C. EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Graduation from accredited School of Pharmacy
- 12 hours of ACPE approved continuing education per year.
