The Ambulatory Float Pool is comprised of multiple specialty practices across our clinic locations in the Richmond area. Our team members support adult and/or pediatric patient populations across a wide range of specialties such as Urology, Neurology, Dermatology, Women’s Health, Orthopedics and more offering the unique opportunity to work with a variety of teams and develop a diverse skill set. You will work hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and float across VCU Health clinics. No weekends or nights required. Mileage reimbursement may be available for distances beyond 25 miles from our downtown VCU Medical Center.
The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level.
The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care. This role safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions."
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:Licensure, certification or registration varies depending on the incumbent`s employment background and transitional assignment;LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible Licensure,
Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:Current LPN Licensure in Virginia AHA BLS Certification or equivalent
Experience REQUIRED:Varies based on transitional duty assignment.
Experience PREFERRED:Experience as a LPN in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice
Education/training REQUIRED:Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing

Independent action(s) required:Follows documented physician/licensed independent provider orders, standards, and practice guidelines such as treatments and organizes work to carry out assignment.
