Job Description

Under direct supervision of perioperative nursing, performs all perioperative support functions including those of an Operating Room Assistant, Surgical Support Technician, and a Sr. Surgical Support Technician as required based on the constantly changing demands and staffing in an OR suite. Fulfillment of the job duties requires the employee to have access to medication storage areas.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• One year of previous experience as a Surgical Support Technician, Operating Room Assistant, or competent job performance in a role of equivalent duties at another hospital location, is required.
• CPR Certification Required
