MCH is a healthcare leader dedicated to quality care with compassion, and superior outcomes for the patient. Nursing positions available, HFAP accredited, Health grades 5 star and Service of Excellence Awards hospital in the heart of California. The Hospital serves community patients from Madera County, Northern Fresno County and Southern Merced County. Section Leader shall be a full-time position to coordinate the technical functions of the assigned section. Position will assure quality, accuracy and timeless of test results from collection, preparation and analysis of specimens which may include blood, urine, sputum, feces, exudates, secretions and other body fluids on a complete age spectrum of patients, newborn through geriatric. * Analyzes specimens, reports results, maintains inventory and quality control for section(s). Ensures that staff is trained properly to perform assigned duties within the section(s). * Responsible for assuring the performance of automated and semi-automated instruments, performs testing and reports results. Assists in budget preparation and supervises technical staff as they rotate through the section. * Is a resource person for nursing, medical staff and laboratory staff and students. * Performs Clinical Laboratory Scientist processes 85% of the time and 15% of time performs administrative technical duties. * The position performs the responsibilities of the Technical Consultant, General Supervisor, and testing personnel with qualified. Experience * Prefer two (2) years experience in a clinical laboratory with progressively increasing responsibility. * Prefer two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital laboratory setting. Training: · Good communication skills both written and verbal required. · Ability to read and write legible. · Ability to conform to standard operating procedures. · Ability to cooperatively engage laboratory staff members in performance improvement activities. · Ability to handle medical specimens and conform to Universal Infection Control procedures. · Ability to communicate effectively with staff and supervisors, nursing and medical staff. License/Registration/Certification: · Current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License. *
