    This role will support the Joints Tech Ops team within DePuy Synthes and focus on installation, maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing equipment, while ensuring appropriate records are maintained.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Under limited supervision, general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

    • Inspects, completes, and coordinates maintenance of manufacturing equipment which may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
    • Plans, coordinates, and performs installation, setups, and changeovers of machinery
    • Tests and adjusts as needed
    • Diagnoses and repairs malfunctioning equipment
    • Recommends and implements process improvements
    • Updates required documentation, including maintenance and repair logs
    • Prepares trouble reports for malfunctioning equipment
    • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
    • Applies safety procedures to all work
    • Orders parts and supplies in accordance with department procedures
    • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
    • Performs other duties assigned as needed

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates
    • 4-6 Years Work Experience

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
    • Related equipment maintenance experience and/or training
    • Able to work in an ISO Class 8 Clean Room environment requiring gowning
    • Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer) required
    • Able to supply own hand tools/rollaway toolbox (i.e., screw drivers, socket wrenches, etc.)
    • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to support cross functional teams including Quality, Operations & Engineering
    • The ability to lift heavy loads. Stand and/or walk more than 90% of the time and perform twisting and turning activities and in a manufacturing/machine shop environment is required
    • Must be able to be On Call for a week every other month as required to support 24/7 manufacturing operations

    Preferred:

    • Training in machining operations and/or electrical/electronic
    • Clean room experience is a plus
    • The ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics
    • Experience with automation including highly complex mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, PLC, and motion controllers

    Additional Information:

    • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $63,500 to $86,000 per year.
    • This position is overtime eligible.
    • This position is eligible for a shift differential.
    • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company-sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
    • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
    • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
    • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
    • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
    • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
