    Job Description

    Responsible for the general operations and clinical programming of the Klein Family Center. Duties include oversight of policies and procedures, department objectives, performance improvement, personnel, and program development initiatives for services provided by the Klein Family Center. Works collaboratively with Executive Director, Behavioral Health Services on budgetary issues and executive leadership to ensure quality, cost-effective services are consistently provided to patients at the Klein Family Center.

    • Working within the vision and direction of the Executive Director, Behavioral Health Services, Senior Behavioral Health Leadership, and Board of Directors, develops and oversees an operational course for the services provided at the Klein Family Center. Leads development of new services and improving current services within the Klein Family service line and provides oversight/management of services and team members.
    • Clinical oversight of the provision of behavioral healthcare services provided at the Klein Family Center.
    • In collaboration with the Executive Director, Behavioral Health Services, develops and provides ongoing fiscal oversight of Klein Family Center.
    • Supervision to Klein Family Center Coordinators and clinical team members, promoting an environment of learning and leadership cultivation.
    • Oversight of Klein Family Center department objectives and performance improvement efforts/quality indicators, and outcomes.
    • Interpretation and implementation of state, federal, and Joint Commission requirements.
    • Oversight of policies and procedures, key objectives, and program development initiatives.
    • Evaluates and implements changes to practice, policies, and procedures as needed to improve performance and achieve/continue regulatory compliance and best practice.
    • Oversight of records, reports, and statistical data for Klein Family Center programs.
    • Hiring, termination, and team member development authority.
    • Stays informed of latest developments in mental health treatment and promotes learning opportunities and team member development.
    • Participates in emergency operations planning for Klein Family Center. This includes Environment of Care and Event Tracking oversight.
    • Establishes an effective, professional, and compassionate means of communicating and collaborating with patients, providers, clinicians, administrators to ensure safe and efficient services.
    • Maintains and monitors staffing levels consistent with fixed resources, patient acuity and census. Keeps Executive Director, Behavioral Health Services informed of team member concerns and/or program issues in an effort to enhance communication and proactively address problems.
    • Participation in other meetings/committees deemed appropriate and necessary by Executive Director, Behavioral Health Services and Medical Director.
    • Participates in marketing efforts to enhance service usage and community partnerships. This may include telephonic, in-person, video, social media, and print media activities.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required: Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health-related field required; Licensed in field of study required (LMSW/LGPC; LCSW-C/LCPC). Minimum of three years of experience performing the functions of administrative and/or clinical supervision of staff, program operations, patient care, and general customer service within a behavioral health setting required. Experience implementing psychotherapeutic, case management, and/or crisis intervention services required.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and programs/services across the crisis center service line.
    • Ability to cultivate internal and external relationships and participate in strategic planning efforts for the Klein Family Center.
    • Demonstrated clinical knowledge in the field of behavioral healthcare/nursing.
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interpret and analyze regulations and program data in the establishment of program projections, quality measures and performance improvement.
    • Strong communication (both oral and written) skills with patients and team members.
    • Passion for working with those experiencing behavioral health crises.

    Preferred: Master’s Degree in behavioral health related field preferred. Five years of experience performing the functions of administrative and/or clinical supervision of staff, program operations, patient care, and general customer service within a behavioral health setting preferred.
