As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing systems and data.

    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering, Maintenance, and Automation, the Manufacturing Systems Technician will support the lifecycle management of Manufacturing Systems such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Automation Network, OSI PI, DNC, and associated data. The technician will work closely with the local manufacturing systems team and collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Quality, and IT, to ensure effective implementation of manufacturing systems aligned with global standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development and maintenance of manufacturing systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and compliance standards.
    • Support the operational goals of manufacturing systems, including system performance, uptime, and adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify manufacturing system requirements and assist in developing effective solutions.
    • Participate in the implementation of projects related to manufacturing systems, helping to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
    • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting, providing support for investigations and corrective actions as needed (CAPA events).
    • Help manage system interfaces and work on system administration tasks.
    • Provide training and support to users on manufacturing systems applications and processes.
    • Document processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations, procedures, and changes.

    Key Competencies Required

    • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with a focus on manufacturing systems.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
    • Problem-solving skills to address issues within manufacturing systems.
    • A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on responsibilities.
    • Attention to detail in executing tasks and maintaining documentation.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Required:

    • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing environments or related positions.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, processes, and basic project management principles.
    • Experience working in regulated environments such as GMP.
    • Fluent in English (written and verbal).

    Preferred:

    • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or related software tools.
    • Experience with orthopaedic manufacturing processes and equipment, including CNC machining and automated systems.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines (ISA 88/95, GAMP) is a plus.
