    Job Description

    The Communications Specialist (CS) will manage and implement a community relations and marketing program to develop public awareness and goodwill toward the organization. This position is responsible for outreach, advertising and media relations that reflect current organizational strategy and cultural competency. The CS will develop and maintain communication channels with the organization’s multiple customers.

    ** The CS – Creative Services** is responsible for visual and copy creative development and quality of print, broadcast and digital media advertising and special projects.

    What is required...

    • At least two years previous marketing/community relations experience
    • Washington State Driver’s License
    • Automobile liability insurance
    • Access to reliable car for transportation
    • Basic skills in design tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or video editing for visual storytelling.

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
    • At least two years previous marketing/community relations in a hospital, health care or human services setting
    • Previous experience with public presentation and speaking
    • Previous experience with the development and design of marketing materials
    • Experience working with the media in preparing statements to the media and responding to questions from the media.
    • Quick thinking to adjust strategies based on campaign performance.
    • FEMA LO105: Public Information Basic Certification
    • FEMA 0388: Advanced Public Information Officer Certification
    • WordPress and Adobe Illustrator experience

    Additional Information

    Wage: Wage range starts at $32.26/hour and goes up to $48.89/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

    FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)

    Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00a-5:00p

    Benefits: This position is benefits eligible
