    Gastro Health is currently looking for an enthusiastic full-time Medical Assistant to join our team!

    Our Medical Assistants interact with patients daily and provide assistance to our board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners. Our teammates go home at the end of the day knowing they made a positive difference in our patients' lives.

    Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:

    • Provide support for the physician and nurse practitioner so that they are kept on schedule and advised of appointment changes
    • Perform various duties including triage, taking vitals, and gathering medical history to document into the EMR system
    • Serve as an assistant to the physician and APRN with procedures and chart updates
    • Ensure all work areas and exam rooms are neat and clean and instruments are disinfected
    • Support office staff in areas to include phone calls with patients, record requests, and close daily orders

    Minimum Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • 1+ years experience as a medical assistant (AAMA certification preferred)
    • Medical terminology knowledge required
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
    • eClinicalWorks (eCW): 1 year (Preferred)
