Job Title: Medical Receptionist

We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our front office team.
Job Summary:
The Medical Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient scheduling, handling inquiries, and ensuring that office operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule patient appointments.
- Verify patient information and update records as necessary.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for patients using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate and confirm patient appointments, including follow-ups and reminders.
- Collect and process payments, including copays and other fees.
- Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and assist with office administrative tasks.
- Support medical staff by assisting with patient flow and preparing patient charts.
- Adhere to confidentiality and security protocols according to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems; experience with Point Click Care is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Customer service-oriented with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.
*Must have 1-2 years of medical receptionist experience.
