Job Description:
Organizes, manages and controls projects in Surgical Vision Supply Chain; for Product Management and or Value Stream (VS) Projects. Leads the cross-functional team and manages the development, roll-out, and implementation of all aspects of a complex supply chain program including ancillary Supply Chain initiatives (Packaging, Automation Programs)
Major Duties & Responsibilities
• Coordinates all aspects of VS project activities and is responsible for overall project success including FPOs as they relate to Operations.
• Responsible for facilitating and developing cross functional project plans, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful transfer and commercialization of NP and/or Execution of VS initiatives with all necessary organizations. (Engineering, Operations, Planning, Sourcing, etc.)
• Applies highly developed management methodologies to streamline project and program management processes.
• Designs and develops industry leading quality control operating practices.
• Implements systems to monitor and track departmental goals.
• Manages projects (as assigned) from planning, execution, reporting, monitoring through stabilization and closure.
• Drives project management activities including solution design proposal, budget development, value case assessment, organization design approvals, process documentation, knowledge transfer, testing, cut-over activities, and project-related communications and plans.
• Delivers accurate reporting of project status, covering key milestones, resource capacity, and financial health.
• Creates open communication channels with relevant departments in order to coordinate project expectations and deliverables.
• Coaches and trains junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
• Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
• Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree - Technical/Business related field.
• 5+ years of business experience preferably in a health care industry with at least 3+ years of cumulative experience in one or more of the following functions (Manufacturing, engineering, new product management, planning, other supply chain disciplines, R&D).
• 3+ years of Project management experience required.
• 3+ yrs of experience in successfully leading multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment required.
• Demonstrated ability in logistics and analytics.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Demonstrated Leadership skills with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to partner, build consensus, to lead teams through influence rather than authority, and build collaborative relationships.
• Demonstrated matrix management, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
