ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Investigating sentinel events * Conducting thorough medical record reviews * Coordinating incident review panels. * Reporting sentinel events into the Department of Health's NYPORT System. * Writing root cause analyses. * Working collaboratively with departments to establish corrective actions and evaluate outcomes. * Participating in interdisciplinary committees. * Working with physicians and hospital staff in the quality review process. REQUIREMENTS: * Current NYS RN license. * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. * Minimum of 3 to 5 years Critical Care/ Emergency Room experience preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word (Excel a plus). * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with physicians * Excellent writing and organizational skills * Ability to work independently Join a hospital where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
