Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field required.
- Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) required. Current licensure in the state of Maryland as a Dietitian/Nutritionist required.
- Four (4) years clinical experience is required as a Registered Dietitian at a hospital facility, including completion of UMMC initial review required.
- Prior completion of a Specialty Fellowship Program or Active Specialty Certification: CNSC, CDE, CSR, CSP, CSO, IBCLC is required. Maintenance of 30 CEUs/2 years (20 CEU in a specialty area every two years) is required.
- Current on all mandatory classes/training Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and pharmacology as they relate to nutrition is required to make clinical decisions regarding a patient’s nutritional care plan.
