Job Description Currently seeking Clerical Associates assigned to the Enhanced and Integrated Outpatient Care clinics. Under supervision, the Clerical Associate greets, assists, registers patients and open visits. Verifies patients insurance prior to making appointments, completes transportation requests, obtains appropriate signature approvals. Handles telephone calls and inquiries works with all practice related software. * Provides patients with appointments to all clinics and services sessions as needed into scheduling templates for clinics and therapy areas. Open / close visits for clinic sessions.

• Registration functions including but not limited to demographic updates and obtainment of patient consents. * Communicate with Health Information management staff to secure medical notes needed for scanning clinic sessions as necessary. * Manage scheduling templates by analyzing quotas, overbooking numbers, and provider availability. * Visit information in EMR to check providers appointment orders. * Use Managed Care websites to do insurance verifications. * Obtain preauthorization, referral numbers when required and ensure that information is properly entered in the system. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma/GED required. * One year of satisfactory clerical experience. Department Preferences * Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type a minimum of 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute. * Multilingual a plus.
