    We are searching for the best talent for an On-site Service Engineer’s position, to be located in Santa Clara, CA.

    Purpose:

    The On-site Service Engineer provides frontline technical support by addressing and resolving customer needs and request. Support service activities, documentation, and metrics for engineering systems.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Working under the supervision of the team leader to carry our technical and non-technical activities and duties related to maintaining our fleet of engineering robotic systems fully functional to maintain uptime guarantee.
    • Executing specific task including documentation and metrics for the team.
    • Monitoring health of assigned system and report back to the team with any insights and feedback from our stakeholders.
    • Participating in process improvement discussions to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Engaging in a continuous effort of learning and trainings to expand their knowledge of our robotics systems.
    • Working safely in a manufacturing environment and ability to follow all safety and hazard requirements.
    • Utilizing electro-mechanical tools.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of medical device experience.
    • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and updating hardware systems.
    • 2+ years of experience in documentation for testing, technical assessment and compliance.
    • Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Suite of applications (PowerPoint and Excel).
    • Experience prioritizing, organizing and managing multiple projects under supervision.
    • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with co-workers and cross-functional team members.
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a group/team environment.
    • Ability to conceptualize, develop and manage timelines.
    • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, proficient in speaking and written English.

    Other Requirements:

    • Ability to travel up to 10% domestic US, with overnight stay.
    • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week at the J&J office in Santa Clara, CA.

    Work Environment:

    • This position operates in a laboratory/assembly environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

    Physical Demands:

    • May require lifting of up to 50 lbs. and operation of hoisting equipment for heavier loads.
    • May require prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling during system assembly.

    For California Bay Area, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $71,000 to $112,413.

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

    Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

    Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
