OptumCare, a business of UnitedHealth Group, is putting leaders in motion through the Launch Leadership Program - a twelve-month apprenticeship that has been intentionally designed to give you the exposure, experience and development needed for a full-time operational role at the Director-level post-program completion.

    As a LAUNCH APPRENTICE , you will:

    • Gain exposure to and knowledge of the healthcare industry, OptumCare businesses, functions and strategies
    • Manage a care delivery team and clinic operations, includes P&L accountability
    • Lead a high-impact initiative
    • Receive training and development on core leadership competencies
    • Conduct self-guided learning
    • Travel to various markets / sites
    • Learn from and present to Senior Leadership
    • Leverage dedicated support and resources, including individualized coaching and senior-level mentorship
    • Benefit from 360-degree feedback
    • Contribute to a fun and encouraging cohort
    • Realize structured, ongoing opportunities to craft your career

    Launch Apprentice will be based in one of multiple locations across the US.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    • Currently pursuing your MBA with a target graduation date by no later than June 2020
    • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Professional work experience (minimum 2 years preferred but not required)
    • Passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare to local communities
    • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a flair for managing others
    • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills at all levels
    • Practiced project management and navigating competing priorities
    • Can think strategically, analytically and creatively
    • Adaptable and comfortable in ambiguity and high-impact situations
    • High emotional intelligence and capacity to GSD (get stuff done)
    • Learning/growth oriented
    • Aligned with OptumCare's mission and values of Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation and Performance
