    Janssen Research & Development, LLC, a division of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for a Co-Op, Process Analytical Sciences - Bioassay, Cell & Gene Therapy, located in Malvern, PA.

    Within Janssen Research & Development, the Therapeutics Development & Supply (TDS) organization is responsible for the development, clinical supply, marketed product support, and life cycle management of Biotherapeutics. Within TDS, the Analytical Development (AD) group supports method development and validation, release and stability analysis. The Process Analytical Sciences - Bioassay, Cell and Gene Therapy group within AD is seeking a Co-Op to provide analytical support of TDS API and DPD process development activities to support the CAR-T and gene therapy portfolios. The successful candidate will be responsible for non-GMP and GMP analytical testing.

    Responsibilities:

    • The co-op that joins our team will train on residual impurity assays, infectious, physical and genomic titer assays, potency assays and characterization assays to support the CAR-T and gene therapy portfolio. They will support GMP and non-GMP in-process sample testing.
    • Exhibit strong technical, writing, and organizational skills combined with excellent attention to detail to ensure adherence to department and industry regulatory standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now, or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1)
    • Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of the internship assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree.
    • Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
    • We are looking for highly motivated students who can work independently on one or multiple projects under general direction and can exhibit attention to detail.
    • A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
    • Must be available to work full-time(40 hrs/wk) during the semester and able to provide your own transportation to this office.

    Our required majors are:

    • We are looking for students pursuing a degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or similar field
