Cross-Site Mental Health Intern United States Boston, Massachusetts Description Position Title: Cross-Site Mental Health Intern Reports to: Cross-Site Mental Health Associate Location: Boston, MA Responsibilities: * Completing discrete projects to support the mental health teams work in the areas of writing, programmatic support, and other assignments as necessary * Supporting existing research projects of the PIH mental health team, with a particular focus on literature reviews, data cleaning, and citation support. * Assisting with communications projects as needed. * Coordinating and participating in weekly mental health team meetings and other meetings as needed. * Participating in the Cross- Site Mental Health team and PIH learning seminars and activities. Qualifications: * Current college/university student or recent college/university graduate * Formal experience in clinical and/or public mental health services, teaching, program management, and/or research is seen as an asset * Experience working with culturally diverse staff on long-term goals and day-to-day activities. * Ability to prioritize and take initiative on multiple and complicated tasks. * Ability to navigate through and problem solve within complex systems. * Ability to work as an effective team member, an ability to take initiative and work independently. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills required. * Demonstrated maturity and judgment, and ability to assess priorities. * Sense of humor, patience, a positive attitude and flexibility a must. * Passionate about community building, sustainability and instilling a community-based approach to global mental health.
