LOCATION: North Miami Beach POSITION SUMMARY: The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery and pick-up of patients to and from the medical facilities and their place of residence. In addition to administrative and operational tasks to ensure proper transport of patients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Transports the scheduled patients to and from the centers or to and from any other medical facility previously approved and scheduled. * Assists all passengers (including passengers with special needs) in entering and leaving vans, hold umbrella in wet weather. * Ensures that all passengers are wearing their seat belt. * Assists the patient in a courteous, respectful and efficient manner while transporting them. * Keeps open channels of communication with the Transportation Coordinator at all times. * Complies with the requirements of the department regarding working hours or schedules, to ensure proper operations. * Drives in a safe and alert manner. * Receives calls from the Transportation Coordinator to coordinate additional patient transport. * Identifies and recommends options for route improvements to management as appropriate. * Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for patients. * Ensures good customer relations by consistently picking up patients on time and behaving with integrity in a courteous and professional manner. * Reports any issues or complaints to the Transportation Coordinator or Transportation Manager for resolution. * Conducts the Vehicle Pre-Check on a daily basis * Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of all reports including but not limited to trip sheets (Transportation List), vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, or vehicle condition reports. * Responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers. * Immediately notifies the Transportation Coordinator or Transportation Manager of any incidents in accordance to company policy. * Maintains a satisfactory driving record by adhering to traffic laws and conducting vehicle in a safe manner. * Shows genuine concern for patients needs, issues or problems. * Promotes and contributes to a positive, problem-solving environment. * Assists patients, family members and others with concern and empathy; respect their confidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner. * Establishes a comfortable environment for the patient by showing them that they are dealing with a well-trained professional. * Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains confidentiality of patient medical records in accordance with state and federal laws. * Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and other federal, state or local regulations. * Participates in meetings, training and in-service education as required.

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION: * Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent * Valid drivers license in the State of Florida required * Minimum one year (1) of route driver experience, commercial vehicle preferred * Minimum one year (1) year customer service experience, elderly care preferred * Previous experience in healthcare environment preferred * Excellent driving record required * Ability to use hand held devices, such as tablet and/or smart phone and other software applications * Fluency in Spanish and English preferred * Customer relations experience * Must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sympathetic to hearing or vision deficiencies * Excellent listening, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization * Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment * Must be self-motivated, organized and have excellent prioritization skills * Must be able to work well under stressful conditions * Must be able to work in a fast paced environment Job Type: Full-time Salary: $10.00 /hour Experience: * route drive: 1 year Education: * High school or equivalent Location: * North Miami Beach, FL Required work authorization: * United States 2 hours ago - save job Apply Now Please review all application instructions before applying to Pasteur Medical Center.
