Job Summary
Put your best face forward in this high-energy position and ensure every patient has a friendly, inviting, and memorable experience. Serve as primary support for a busy Audiology clinic. The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients. Must display a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, placing patients at ease on the phone and in office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting customers, answering incoming calls, coordinating/organizing clerical tasks such as scheduling/tracking appointments, collecting payments, managing inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, basic hearing aid cleanings, and troubleshooting, pairing bluetooth devices and entering/maintaining patient data in patient management system/charts. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, outgoing, happy/enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about healthcare practices.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with audiologists, patients, families, and healthcare staff
Create personal goals and monitor progress toward goals
Input and maintain patient information in EMR system
Maintains good and appropriate patient relationships
Exercises confidentiality relating to all business and patient information
Distributes electronic intake forms and assists patients in properly completing paper intake forms if necessary
Checks in hearing devices and makes sure they are ready to go prior to patient appointments
Maintains office schedule to maximize productivity and ensure efficiency and confirms next-day appointments
Collects and records payments
Works together with Audiologists to ensure high-quality patient care
Ensures coffee/snack station is clean and stocked and lobby/workspace is clean and organized
Performs basic tech duties with hearing aids: device cleanings, and troubleshooting issues
Performs other miscellaneous office duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Care Coordinator or in a similar position is preferred
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
Ability to work in fast-paced situations and make sound decisions quickly
Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of compassion
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with hearing loss is a plus
Excellence in customer care. Must deal with patients in a respectful and caring manner
