Stereotactic Radiosurgery Coordinator, FT/Days(Monday-Friday), Radiation Oncology-Gamma Knife, PAH JOB PURPOSE: Coordinates scheduling and delivery of gamma knife and high dose rate procedures by working with multidisciplinary groups to provide timely care to patients. Maintains a working knowledge of all aspects of procedures for radiation oncology and gamma knife. Reviews, updates, and revises patient education materials and department procedures to reflect best practice. Provides care for radiation oncology and gamma knife patients from consultation through follow up. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduation from accredited Radiation Therapy or Nursing program. Bachelors degree preferred. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three years of professional experience in medical field. Two years of oncology experience in a hospital setting. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: For RN, current licensure in the State of Georgia. For radiation therapist, certification through the ARRT. CPR certified. RN ACLS certified. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with gamma knife and high dose rate procedures preferred. Reads and writes in English. Oncology EMR and EPIC experience a plus. Must be able to make independent decisions but function well as part of a team.
