Clinical Education Coordinator- Piedmont Fayette Hospital JOB PURPOSE: The entity Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for the effective and reliable delivery of unit-based clinical learning and development at an assigned entity. Directs, coordinates, and oversees the education-related work provided by the unit-based clinical educators. Ensures that the entitys unit- based learning and development activities follow established roles and guidelines. In partnership with the entity Chief Nursing Officer, selects, trains, and coaches unit-based educators. Consistently monitors and routinely reports on unit-based clinical educator productivity and effectiveness. Directly reports to the system Manager of Clinical Education and collaborates with the entity Chief Nursing Officer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervises and coordinates the delivery of quality nursing education to promote the growth of nursing staff. 2. Supervises activities of the unit-based clinical educators to ensure alignment with strategic priorities. 3. Assists with evaluation of clinical educators performance. 4. Provides leadership to the clinical educators. 5. Supervises PI projects that affect clinical education. 6. Promotes professional development. 7. Effectively communicates with all members of the team. 8. Demonstrates competency in the organization and delivery of education to frontline staff. 9. Promotes social learning through various avenues of learning delivery methods throughout the employee life cycle. 10. Maintains records of unit-based clinical education productivity, effectiveness, and activity. 11. Serves as the primary liaison between Clinical Operations and entity leadership for matters related to clinical learning and development. 12. Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication between entity leadership and the Clinical Operations system office. 13. Directly reports to the system Manager of Clinical Education and effectively collaborates with the entity Chief Nursing Officer. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current license in the state of Georgia as a registered nurse. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Previous supervisory experience desired. Previous educator experience desired. Bachelors degree preferred.
