As a PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS SPECIALIST you will:

• Review prior authorization and appeals requests
• Compile chart notes from patients and providers in support of the request
• Perform additional outreach to patients and providers to complete documentation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete Prior Authorizations for Jynarque prescriptions
• Provide communication with Otsuka team, physician's offices and insurances regarding active claims
• Process member transactions through various computer systems ensuring accuracy
• Educate team members to obtain proper documentation necessary for prescription approval
• Partner with others to gather additional information and / or to interpret clinical guidelines
• Be a subject matter expert on Prior Authorizations related to Jynarque

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience with prior authorizations
• 1+ years of experience with Windows PC applications.

This role is equally challenging and rewarding. Strong attention to detail and computer skills are required as you contact patients and providers. It's a fast paced, high volume environment which requires exemplary multitasking skills and accuracy is essential.
