    Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting multiple candidates for our Quality summer internship located in Irvine, CA.

    You will be responsible for:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulous Sophomores, Juniors and rising Seniors for Summer Interns within the Quality organization. We mostly work on a “hybrid model.” This means that you will be asked to report on site three times a week and can work remotely two times a week. If you are selected for an internship or Co-Op position, you will work directly with your manager as your start date approaches to confirm your exact schedule.

    Research, innovation, and new product development is our focus.

    Summer interns will partner with teams of scientists and engineers to expand our deep technical capabilities and develop new products aimed at meeting a variety of cardiac health needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Execute a project assignment involving an electrophysiology health product (spanning early research to pilot/commercialization stage) or an enabling technology.
    • Perform deliverables involving fundamental research and characterization, process/product development, process/product improvement, test method development, and/or equipment development.
    • Work closely with other science/engineering disciplines in the development and application of equipment and processes.
    • Review progress and evaluates results of project(s) across various functional groups.
    • Improve your personal brand through skills building workshops and networking.
    • Present to leadership your learnings and development experience.
    • Have the power to connect and support our local towns through community activities.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Current student in a four-year degree program (Engineering, Data Science, Chemistry, Product Design, or equivalent).
    • OR- Current student in a graduate-level program (Chemistry, Engineering, Data Science, Product Design, or equivalent).
    • For eligibility, graduation date must occur AFTER the conclusion of the summer internship.

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    • Ability to work through challenges logically and deliver solutions efficiently.
    • Ability to clearly present data findings and interpretations to both technical and non-technical partners.
    • Ability to break down challenging problems into manageable components and derive actionable insights.
    • Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future (F1, H1B, CPT, OPT or STEM OPT require sponsorship in future).
    • Ability to provide their own transportation to this location and to/from work every day.
    • Ability to work full time (40 hours a week) for a minimum of 10 weeks.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in a relevant field (i.e. internship, research assistant, and/or coursework).
    • Prior work experience.

    Other:

    Spanish or Mandarin knowledge is an advantage

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    $22.00 per hour to $51.50 per hour

    Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

    The anticipated base pay for this position is between $22.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
