    As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will administer complex respiratory therapy procedures to evaluate and treat individuals with compromised cardiopulmonary functions due to developmental defects, aging, physical injury, or disease. This involves:

    • Assessment : Evaluating respiratory status through diagnostic tests and physical exams.
    • Treatment Planning : Developing personalized care plans tailored to the patient’s condition.
    • Therapy Administration : Implementing respiratory care techniques such as mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy.
    • Monitoring : Continuously tracking patient progress and adjusting treatments as needed.
    • Education : Instruct patients and families on managing respiratory conditions and using equipment at home.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Education : * Associate’s Degree (required) * Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred) * Graduate from an AMA-approved program by the National Board of Respiratory Care in Respiratory Therapy (required)
    • Certifications : * Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Therapist (required) * Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance (required) * CPR certification (required) * ACLS certification (preferred)
    • Experience : * Two years of experience as a Respiratory Technician (preferred)
