    We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Scientist, Immune Response Modulation to be in Spring House, PA.

    Purpose:

    As a member of the In Vivo Antibody Discovery Group, within Biologics Discovery, this role will develop quality of immune response assessment strategies. The focus will be on Characterizing the quality and functionality of immune responses. Extensive experience with vaccine design, B- and T-cell biology, plate-based biochemical assays, and ex vivo antigenicity analysis is required. A strong understanding of immunogen design, immunization strategy, and evaluating Germinal Center formation will also be important. This is a critical function in a multifaceted Biologics Discovery organization committed to bringing the next generation of biotherapeutic molecules to patients. We are looking for a motivated candidate with scientific and technical expertise who can collaborate across discovery areas to bring value to our portfolio of innovative drug concepts.     You will be responsible for:

    • assessing the magnitude and duration of antigen-specific immune responses following immunizations.
    • designing plate-based biochemical assays, such as blocking or competition
    • evaluating Germinal Center formation, flow cytometry and ELISA, and ex vivo antigenicity analysis.
    • extensive experience with B- and T-cell responses is required.
    • experience in immunogen design (ie. protein, DNA, mRNA), immunization strategy, and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) would be good to have.
    • managing laboratory operations by maintaining equipment, ensuring sufficient inventory of supplies, and overseeing the routine maintenance of MDS, and flow cytometry instruments and related laboratory equipment.
    • presenting research findings in internal meetings, clearly communicating scientific results and providing insights into data interpretation.
    • collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across functional areas to advance therapeutic programs, contributing scientific expertise to multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    • documenting work accurately and promptly using Electronic Lab Notebook systems (e.g., Signal) and generate protocols and SOPs.
    • working closely with stakeholders and project managers to address operational needs and ensure seamless workflow execution.
    • demonstrating scientific curiosity and problem-solving skills, contributing to innovation and continuous improvement in molecular biology and sequencing workflows.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    Education:

    • PhD in Immunology, Vaccine, Biomedical science or related field with 1- 3 years of relevant experience in an academic or industry setting is required

    Required:

    • Proficiency in Immunological techniques, including flow cytometry, ELISA, and plate-based biochemical assays, such as blocking and competition assays is required
    • Hands-on experience with FlowJo, GraphPad Prism is required
