We have 10 Shawnee Mission Primary Care locations with more than 70 Board-certified doctors who specialize in family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics as well as Centra Care Shawnee Mission Urgent Care and Spira Care locations. Qualifications General Summary: The HR Coordinator serves as the host for new hire orientation including serving as the trainer for HR topics in orientation, coordination of new hire paperwork and verification of post offer requirements. Conducts Primary source verifications for licensure and certifications. Provides customer service to associates, answering questions and assisting with My Hub. Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities: · Serves as host for new hire orientation. Serves as the presenter and trainer during orientation for HR topics. Sets up laptops / projectors, preparing the room for new hire orientation and any other events/meetings as needed · Coordinates new hire paperwork and responds to questions (i.e. regarding orientation, next steps, PDO, basic insurance eligibility questions, etc) · Ensures all new associates have all the necessary checks performed before they can start work and/or before they go to their departments (Physical, Criminal, Primary source licensure, etc). · Completes, tracks and maintains I-9 information for employees. · Complete EVerify for new hires. · Maintains the licensure database for the hospital ensuring all are current and verified via appropriate primary source verification websites prior to hire and/or expiration. Communicates all issues with HR and appropriate managers. · Maintains the certification database for the hospital ensuring all are current and verified via appropriate primary source verification prior to hire and/or expiration. Communicates all issues with HR and appropriate managers. · Runs and distributes HRIS reports as requested. · May prepare employee id badges and troubleshoot problems with id badges. · Distributes department mail. · Provides customer service to associates, answering questions and assisting with My Hub. · Provide project and event support, including awards banquet, benefits open enrollment, social committee, report distribution, etc. · Assures that scanning and/or filing is done weekly. · Answers HR general phone line. · Handles confidential information with professionalism and discretion. · Uses supplies, equipment and personal time in an efficient manner. · Provides project and clerical support for Human Resources. · Demonstrates SMHs vision and mission and communicates them to all associates through various programs and events. · Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills within and outside the department to ensure an excellent perception of Human Resources and SMH. · Develops, implement and facilitates projects that are not planned and are aligned with our mission. · Actively participates on committees as assigned Education and Experience: * Associates Degree * 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience * Computer skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
