Order Selector - Houston TX Sofo Foods 23 reviews - Houston, TX $11 an hour JOB DESCRIPTION Order Selector Houston, TX Evening Shift You will be responsible for selecting product from specific locations and loading the product into trucks for our restaurant customers. The environment is fast pace with heavy and continuous lifting in addition to attention to order accuracy. As an Order Selector you will be required to operate various types of warehouse equipment (electric pallet jacks and forklifts) and to work as a team following safe work practices at all times. Additional you will also be operating a company vehicle to pick up product from our vendors. Sofo Foods is one of the largest family owned wholesale distributors of Italian and ethnic foods in the US, and is currently looking for you to fill the role as an Order Selector at our Houston, TX distribution center and become part of our Warehouse Team. You will be helping our restaurant customers by accurately selecting various products for delivery. Shift: * Evening Shift Sunday Thursday with a 7 pm start time. * Length of shift will depend on number of customer orders to be processed. Shifts can vary from 8 12 hours. JOB REQUIREMENTS Requirements: * High school diploma or GED. * 18 years or older. * Excellent attendance. * Ability to pass a criminal background and drug test. * Valid drivers license. * Physical activity to include standing, walking up to 8 12 hours with scheduled breaks. * Physical ability to lift 30 - 60 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance. * Ability to be certified on warehouse equipment. * Previous warehouse experience of 1 year and electric pallet jack - preferred.
