  • Responsibilities

    Under the direction and supervision of the director, supervises the functions of the team. Assists with or conducts delegated projects, assumes managerial responsibilities including supervision and evaluation of patient care and nursing employees.

    Assumes responsibility for clinical resources and coordinates preceptor activities. Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of unit-specific systems/activities. Which result in organizational improvement and coordinates activities between shifts and clinical areas to ensure continuity of patient care.

    Provides clinical patient care to patients within scope of licensure and practice. Utilizes knowledge of professional practice in providing age-appropriate care based on scientific principles, standards of practice, and standards of patient care for patient populations.

    Required Skills

    Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.

    1. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

    2. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.

    3. Ability to supervise and evaluate assigned staff.

    4. Ability to foster and facilitate effective working relationships and team building.

    5. Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.

    6. Willingness to accept and manage change.

    7. Ability to analyze situations and solve problems.

    8. Skilled in the use of computer systems and related software applications.

    Required Experience

    ** Work Experience:**

    Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferably in a clinic setting or in a charge nurse role.

    ****License/Registration/Certification:

    Current license as a Registered Nurse

    Basic Life Support (BLS).

    ACLS & PALS

    Education and Training:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
