    Building/Grounds Maintenance Worker Salary $3,371.00 - $4,826.00 Monthly Location Sangamon County, IL Job Type Full-Time Department Central Management Services Job Number CMS 19060 Closing 10/11/2018 5:00 PM Central Description of Duties/Essential Functions Under direct supervision, performs non-skilled building and grounds work for EPA, DHS, DCFS, ISP and travels to other facilities within the Central Region occupied by various agencies on an as needed basis; maintains interior cleanliness of assigned facilities on a regular basis; performs exterior maintenance of assigned facilities; performs a variety of semi-skilled work below the journey level such as making minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HV AC, and refrigeration equipment; maintains equipment in proper working order. Assist with loading and unloading of supplies and equipment delivered to a facility and lifts items weighing up to 75 pounds. Minimum Requirements Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school plus one year of maintenance work experience preferably associated with the building mechanical trades. Requires ability to use hand and power tools. Requires working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and building materials. Requires ability to follow written and oral instructions. Requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Requires valid IL driver's license and the ability to travel.
