    The scope of the Strategic Sourcing Manager Packaging MedTech will include:

    • Lead the E2E business category strategy development and execution, supplier management and risk mitigation for Secondary packaging and Fiber & Non-Woven (FNW) sub-categories across MedTech with focusing on Surgery and Orthopedics BUs.
    • Be responsible for managing all aspects of the relationship with designated Direct Material suppliers to deliver reliable product supply and total cost reduction while meeting or exceeding all customer service, compliance and product requirements.
    • Work with Surgery and Orthopedics stakeholders to develop and deploy FNW material strategies that align with Category objectives and that impact cost, quality, service, SEI, Supplier Diversity, SRM and supplier consolidation activities and metrics.
    • Providing input to the standard costs each year as part of the business planning process, for the items under his/her control and deliver year-over-year productivity against those standards.
    • Negotiating favorable prices, developing and administering contracts for select strategic suppliers.
    • Monitoring and benchmark existing supply base within the global marketplace.
    • Serve as a key stakeholder and influencer in shaping the future technology choice and related supplier landscape for the specific sub-categories.
    • Be responsible for providing a practical and intellectual understanding of the global MedTech industry and its channels in order to provide a strong combination of strategic vision and hands-on leadership in all aspects of global sourcing operations.

    Approximate Percentage of Time:

    40% - E2E Category Strategy development and execution: Develops comprehensive, medium complexity category strategies; Conducts complex analysis and proactively offers insights based off analysis; Supports E2E execution of strategy partnering with E2E cross functional teams within the BU

    30% - Manage supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier performance

    20% - Monitor and report risks in supplier relationships and utilize key insights in the development of the long-term procurement vision and strategy

    10% - Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes, policies, guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, and Business Operating Principles

    Required Minimum Education : Bachelor’s degree, Master or MBA Preferred

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

    • Broad-based understanding of business operations and procurement practices (Spend Management, Category Management & Sourcing and Supplier Management)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information
    • Analytical, sound judgment and decision making, problem solver
    • Demonstrated track record of delivering against targets and objectives
    • Able to prioritize requests and propose effective alternatives when necessary.
    • Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues
    • Strong level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community
    • Ability to influence and understand differing needs of partners (e.g., Business, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain)

    Percentage Traveled:

    Up to 10-15% (Domestic/International)

    Preferred Area of Study: Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science

    Preferred Related Industry Experience

    • Knowledge of packaging material in FMCG or healthcare
    • Knowledge of fiber and non-woven material in healthcare

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    $100,000 - $172,500

    Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
