Suicide Prevention and Postvention Clinician

We’re looking for a mission-driven, compassionate professional to join our dynamic team supporting schools, communities, and workplaces across Massachusetts and beyond. In this unique and impactful role, the Suicide Prevention and Postvention Clinician provides trauma-informed clinical support and expert consultation following suicide-related incidents, and delivers engaging, evidence-based training to a variety of audiences.

What You’ll Do:

As a valued member of our team, the Suicide Prevention and Postvention Clinician will:

• Serve as a subject matter expert in suicide prevention and postvention, helping to shape and sustain safe, responsive environments
• Collaborate across systems with internal and external partners to enhance behavioral health crisis response and prevention efforts
• Develop and deliver best practices and responder training tailored to diverse communities and professional audiences
• Provide timely, trauma-informed postvention support on the ground across Massachusetts, and offer virtual consultation to schools nationwide in alignment with the SOS-Signs of Suicide curriculum
• Train behavioral health responders, school-based teams, and other professionals, customizing content to meet their unique needs
• Services may be delivered in individual, group, or community-based formats, both in-person and virtually.

Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week; **** Generally, this will be M-F 9-5 with flexibility **** Some flexibility may be required to support urgent response needs or training schedules. Travel across Massachusetts is expected.

Pay Rate Range:

$75,000 – $80,000/year, depending on experience

Required Skills

• Proven ability to build rapport and work cross-culturally with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds

• Understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of a neurodiverse population

• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation; willingness to travel throughout the region for responses and training

Required Experience

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., MSW, Counseling, Psychology); independent licensure preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in suicide prevention and/or crisis response
• Training in disaster mental health or critical incident response
• Proven experience delivering training and public presentations
• Demonstrated experience in advocating and working effectively within a community-based setting and engaging in collaborative partnerships
