    Purpose:

    This position will play a key role in the forefront of digital and robotic technology for the orthopedic medical device industry. In your role you will support key projects within our orthopedic robotic platforms. As a Systems Engineer you will work with cross-disciplinary teams, to develop system requirements, to perform risk management, update and maintain instructions for use, prepare V&V activities, support subsystem coordination, and identify system changes impacts. Communication and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams will be essential for success.

    You will be responsible for:*

    • Responsible for participating in Systems Engineering activities across complex orthopedic digital surgical solutions with a concentration on hardware and software integration including optimizing systems architecture and design as well as surgical workflows.
    • Participant in efficient system development, implementation, and integration to assure successful verification, validation and product launch.
    • Identify, evaluate and communicate system risks in concert with design teams, throughout the system lifecycle.
    • Identify, evaluate and communicate system requirements in concert with design teams, throughout the system lifecycle.
    • Support continuous improvement effort as well as new product development for maintaining and updating system Design History File.
    • Work with team leads, product owners, and stakeholders to support activities related to creation, maintenance, and updating the instructions for use and the translation of content, as well as training materials.
    • Participate in all phases of usability and validation testing including protocol development, test execution, and documenting results.
    • Enhance efficiency and usability of the surgical solution including instructions for use and training materials.
    • Perform appropriate analysis to ensure the documented architecture is safe and effective.
    • Generate and present technical material necessary for the comprehension and understanding of stakeholders and users at all levels.
    • Work on various life cycle management activities, including support for field reliability activities and root cause analysis.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • BS in Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics. Graduate degree preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a new product development environment.
    • Experience in Medical device is highly preferred.
    • Experience in system design verification and validation testing, as well as test method and tools validation is preferred.
    • Prefer knowledge of design control, requirements management and usability engineering.
    • Prefer knowledge of Product Risk Management processes including Hazard Analyses, FMEA and Use Risk Analysis.
    • Knowledge of complex system architectures, workflows and system interfaces including user interfaces.
    • Knowledge of joint replacement surgical procedures and/or orthopedic navigation and/or robotics is a plus.

    Other:

    • May involve up to 10% domestic and international travel.
    • This role will be based in Grenoble France, or Boston MA
