This is a 9-week summer program that will begin Monday, June 04, 2018 and end Saturday, August 4, 2018. The consideration process consists of: Applicant must have completed Junior Level 2, in an accredited Nursing Program. Transcript showing completion of your last semester. (Unofficial Transcript due at completion of the current semester) If selected to participate in the THFW Internship Program 2018, attendance and completion of the first week of orientation is mandatory. The remaining 8 weeks (4- 2 week rotations) will be spent shadowing a RN preceptor according to the preceptor schedule. Interns will rotate through a variety of patient units with the opportunity to choose two rotations in Specialty Areas such as Critical Care, Emergency Department and Women and Infants. This is a paid, 9-week Internship that focuses on the Intern learning the role of the RN in an acute care setting. Hours worked are up to 36 hours per week. *** BSN candidates preferred.*** BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: -High school diploma or GED. -Must be currently enrolled in an accredited RN Nursing School. -Must be completing Junior 2 by start of program -Must maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher. -Provide an Unofficial transcript from nursing school at time of hire. -Basic computer skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Good interpersonal and people skills. Clinical setting experience from clinical rotations. Ability to manage adult daily living needs and perform related patient care skills. Flexibility with schedule. Interns will work their preceptors schedule which includes weekend days.
