KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Effectively translate Kymeta technology and product roadmap into TFT designs producible at high volume, optimized cost, and world-class quality
- Collaborate cross-functionally and drive continuous improvement efforts through engineering and design to realize optimized cost and quality of TFT antenna assemblies
- Maintain knowledge of current TFT design, engineering, and manufacturing technologies, and apply to ongoing product design and development efforts
- Collaboration with the Kymeta supply chain operations team to qualify vendors
- Manage technical design efforts with external vendors and partners
- 10% foreign travel
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- SPICE modeling of TFT devices and active matrix drive circuits
- Flat panel display stack-up and process flow design
- Direct experience with microfabrication techniques (photolithography, wet/dry etching, metal sputtering/evaporation, etc.)
- Supplier management
- Photomask layout and artwork generation
- Proficiency with Matlab, Python, and/or C++
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese a plus
- Excellent communication abilities including verbal and written communication, the willingness to discuss questions or uncertainties in job assignments and to be able to positively interact with co-workers
- 10 years’ experience in the design and fabrication of LC flat panel display
- Experience with direct emission display (mini-LED, micro-LED, OLED) a plus
- Alternatively, experience in other areas of semiconductor manufacturing, e.g. ASIC and MEMS, will be considered
- Experience in microwave engineering is a strong plus
EDUCATION
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar field. A Ph.D. with less experience will be considered
