The Inside Specialty Sales Representative - will partner with the Regional Sales Manager to grow specialty and worksite sales in Minnesota and surrounding markets. They will be accountable for recruiting brokers, producing business, and meeting sales goals. Primary Specialty Carriers include: Ameritas, Metlife, Principal, and UnitedHealthcare. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Advocate for product portfolio to support increase in enrollment and size of sale, and negotiate based on broker / customer feedback with underwriting
    • Conduct presentations telephonically to brokers
    • Create and drive strategies for top producing agencies and brokers
    • Collaborate with sales management regarding pipeline, persistency, market objectives and develop competitive strategies with specific brokers/agencies
    • Educate sales support on quoting plan designs and product pre-implementation
    • Time management skills critical to success
    • Build strong relationships with carrier partners through frequent collaboration and strong product knowledge and advice
    • Ability to negotiate and close sale s

    • Ability to understand underwriting, financial and analytical details as necessary
    • Ability to work independently to establish and grow relationships in the broker community for the key account market for the assigned geographic area
    • Possesses a sales driven mindset
    • Can clearly communicate our value story and overcome objections on the phone with brokers

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors' degree
    • Previous experience in sales or account management in the insurance industry
    • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goal
    • Sales insurance license(s) must be maintained as required by state law in residential and non-residential states in your territory
    • Very strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, objectives and customer obligations
    • Existing broker and / or consultant relationships in the marketplace
    • Detailed understanding of carrier partner products, services and solutions
    • Ability to navigate UnitedHealthcare internal departments to produce positive service results for clients and the company
