    POSITION DESCRIPTION

Join us and you may end up staying for a career in which you can do YOUR LIFE'S BEST WORK.(SM) The PHARMACY INTERN FOR UNITEDHEALTHCARE will work side by side with clinical pharmacists to develop programs impacting medications covered through the health insurance plans to impact the Triple Aim - better outcomes, better experience at a lower cost.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prescription Drug List Management
      • Assist in evaluating medications from clinical standpoint
      • Work in conjunction with communications/marketing on materials necessary to support programs. This would include consumer, customer and physician programs
      • Engage with physicians / providers to encourage use of lower-cost options
    • Clinical/Utilization Management programs
      • Assist in evaluating medications and/or therapeutic classes being considered for clinical/utilization management programs to determine program components and clinical criteria as needed
      • Assist and/or provide support for clinical projects
    • Clinical initiatives
      • Assist in development of other clinical initiatives such as development of educational programs, adherence, opioid management

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Actively enrolled, through the duration of the internship, in a Doctor of Pharmacy program at an Accredited Pharmacy School. This internship is not intended for graduating students
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy Intern License
      • If you do not currently have an active Missouri Board of Pharmacy Intern License you must obtain one prior to your scheduled start date
