    Job Description

    Working under general supervision, performs a wide variety of administrative and secretarial duties for the Senior Vice President Medical Affairs/CCO, assisting her/him with responsibilities to the Medical Staff, team members and general public. Also provides support as needed to other members of the medical staff leadership.

    Qualifications

    Education & Training: AA Degree in Secretarial Science and/or minimum of four (4) years’ experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities to perform administrative support at the executive leadership level.

    Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a dedicated secretarial position reporting to executive management. Proficiency in use of MS Suite. Experience in an institutional healthcare setting and knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, State of Maryland, and other healthcare regulatory/compliance standards preferred.

    Skills & Abilities: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work assignments; communicate effectively with both in-house and outside customers; work in a high-pressure environment, be organized and manage time effectively; and establish and maintain positive working relationships and open lines of communication. Demonstrated ability to handle materials and communications of a sensitive and confidential nature. Maintaining confidentiality is required. Proficiency in word processing and personal computer skills is required. Demonstrated skill in taking, transcribing and producing meeting minutes; critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions and exercise good judgment within the scope of designated responsibility and authority.
