    Job Description Job Title: Data Coordinator Captive Insurance Claims Administration Job ID: 180000JV Status: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours: Shift: Day Job Facility: Corporate Services Department: Corporate Captive Ins Location: 600 Grant St, Pittsburgh PA 15219 Description The Data Coordinator - Captive Insurance Claims Administration position will provide full-time medical malpractice and general liability claim administration for the UPMC Corporate & Captive Insurance Staff, including processing and analysis of large amounts of claims data associated with the Captive Insurance Program. The position will also be responsible for assisting in a variety of tasks associated with data management, data coding, data cleaning, and other administrative duties. Responsibilities: * Assist in drafting and/or abstracting routine reports. * Complete special projects as directed by the President and/or Vice President. * Extraction, compilation, and analysis of claim information. * Prepare and/or create reports from the UPMC Corporate & Captive Insurance Program Claims Database. * Will assist in carrying out various administrative tasks as needed, including composition and filing of electronic correspondence. Qualifications * High School Diploma required. * Bachelors degree preferred. * One year of data and/or administrative experience required. * Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. * Experience with Medical Terminology preferred. * Must have experience working with general computer databases and reporting software. * Experience with a medical malpractice database, such as C@PTIV8 (Captivate), preferred * Ability to analyze data. * Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, problem solve, organize, and analyze. * Must be able to work independently, be reliable, and take responsibility of a project. * Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to interface with department management and staff. * Malpractice experience, injury insurance experience, and/or workers' compensation experience preferred.
