    Job Description

    ** General Summary**

    Assist with the day-to-day maintenance of websites and other digital assets for the University of Maryland Medical System. Work is performed under moderate supervision. Direct report to the Director, Web Services.

    ** Principal Responsibilities and Tasks**

    The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

    • Make system and entity website updates using content management system.
    • Assist in maintaining System and entity YouTube channels.
    • Support system intranet edits and updates.
    • Assist in the routing of website requests, as needed.
    • Perform planned routine web maintenance to identify and address accessibility and accuracy issues.
    • Adheres to AP Style, search engine optimization best practices and brand standards.
    • Stay abreast of healthcare internet trends, technology and best practices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Education and Experience**

    • Associate’s degree in Communications, Computer Science, English, or related field required.
    • One year of experience with websites and/or HTML required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Computer Science, English, or related field preferred.

    ** Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

    • Familiarity with content management applications (e.g., WordPress, Site Core, etc.) or similar application.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Familiarity with Google Analytics and Search Engine Optimization .
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Ability to analyze, compare, contrast, and validate work with keen attention to detail.
    • Keen sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work.
    • Effective conceptual thinking, creating thinking, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Effective skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Compensation:

    Pay Range: $24.642-$30.118
