    Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Youth Support Worker for our amazing Sustainable Opportunities for Accessing Respite (SOAR) program!

    In this vital role, the Youth Support Worker (YSW) provides strength-based, one-to-one and group-based education, coaching, modeling, guidance, and support to youth in a variety of settings, including youth centers and community. The YSW provides holistic care through one-on-one direct services and group programming, offering individualized outreach, support, resources, and advocacy within the context of family and community.

    The YSW works with youth in close coordination with Caregivers SOAR Director, and team to empower goal advancement and skill development as outlined in individualized plans. They will work collaboratively with other Caregivers and to provide holistic care to identified participant. The YSW delivers services through a social sustainability lens and displays commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all areas of work.

    Schedule: Part Time 20-24 hours per week

    • Tuesday: 11am-7pm or 12pm-8pm
    • Wednesday: 4 hour shift
    • Thursday: 4 hour shift
    • Saturday: every other weekend, 9am to 5pm

    Pay Rate:

    • $21.22/hour
    • $22.28/hour with certified peer specialist certification

    Required Skills

    • Must be able to establish a rapport and work effectively with a diverse, multi-cultural group of parents, children, family members and other program staff members
    • Understanding of and sensitivity to meeting the needs of a neurodiverse population.
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
    • Must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and services are delivered through a social sustainability lens
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
    • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle

    Required Experience

    • High School Degree/GED
    • One year experience working with target population
