Position: *Seasonal* Accounting Assistant

*12-week long position, hiring immediately!*

Location: Wichita, KS

Worksite Arrangement: On-site 5 days/week

Compensation: $20-$24/hr DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: M-F, 8am-430pm CT

Overview:

Avenica is currently evaluating talent for a seasonal Accounting Assistant in the automotive industry. This individual will support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on accounts receivable, daily reconciliations, and banking activities. A strong attention to detail, comfort with financial systems, and excellent communication skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities:

• Daily reconciliations include, but are not limited to: cash, credit cards, accounts receivable payments, parts invoices, service repair orders, etc. 
• Accounts Receivable customer reconciliation and requests for invoices
• Prepare daily bank deposits and company accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintain accurate records of payable and receivable transactions for monthly reporting and audit readiness
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in coordination with purchasing and service departments

Requirements:

• 2+ year(s) of accounting/bookkeeping experience required
• Automotive experience not required!
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Strong understanding of debits/credits and general A/R accounting principles required
• Proficient in Excel and Accounting software
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
• Direct, clear communication style
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
