POSITION SUMMARY

This position will include tasks from various general ledger accounting groups including resort accounting, capital/fixed assets, cash, financial reporting, and IT special projects.

Our Summer Internship Program will run from June 6th through August 12th, 2022. Interns will have opportunities to learn from different business units throughout Alterra Mountain Company, network, find mentors, learn more about our business, and grow as a professional.

All Alterra Mountain Company internships are paid. Open to Juniors, Seniors, new graduates, Masters and MBA program students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

•  Prepare journal entries
•  Prepare bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
•  Organize year end audit materials
•  Develop team training site
•  Document system processes
• Assist in preparation of roll forward financials and technical accounting memos
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication ability
• A curious disposition and appetite to learn, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field
