Overview:
Supports Engineering Team members to create project documentation related to process and equipment design to support the project team. Ensures quality standards are maintained throughout the execution phase of projects. Acts as a technical resource for internal and external customers on design related items.
Title: Designer
Shift: Day, schedule 40 hours a week M-F
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
Responsibilities:
- Reviews Sales proposals, estimates, quotes, customer plans and specifications to establish project requirements and creates designs and prepares engineering drawings with oversight
- Work with project team to review customer requirements for equipment size, function and process design to assure proper drawing representation with oversight.
- Create General Arrangement Drawings that are used to communicate critical design details to the project team and customer
- Create fabrication/installation/assembly drawings for use by internal production team and external fabricators and contractors
- Ensure manufactured equipment conforms to project requirements and standard design
- Assist in the development of new standard product offerings.
- Performance of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 plus years of water treatment or industrial equipment design experience such as skid or plant piping layout experience.
- Two year Associate Degree, technical field preferred.
- More than 3 years of Auto CAD and Revit experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Physical and Mental requirements: Required to sit for extended periods of time.
