  • Responsibilities

    Position: Banquet Captain Location: Fairport, NY, US Responsibilities: • Ensure event setup aligns with guest expectations and identify opportunities for upselling. • Act as the primary contact person to ensure event setup mirrors guest vision and promptly address any concerns. • Deliver exceptional hospitality to amaze guests, motivate, train, and lead the team with a positive attitude for seamless event coordination. • Maintain hotel safety protocols, proactively anticipate issues, and possess a current ServSafe/alcohol certification. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and lead banquet staff in Fairport, NY, US to ensure smooth operations during events. • Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all needs are met. • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and issues to elevate their experience. • Provide training and support to banquet staff to maintain high service standards and professionalism. • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service during events. Qualifications: • At least 2 years of progressive experience in the food & beverage industry, preferably in supervisory roles, is required. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must for success in this position. • Proficiency in using computers, business equipment, and software is expected. • Must be capable of working long hours on occasion. • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force intermittently and up to 20 pounds of force frequently to handle objects is necessary. • Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels. • Should be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods and demonstrate flexibility in body movements. • Strong capability to thrive in a high-energy and high-stress environment while effectively multitasking. Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 yearly
