Job Description
The Ranger Medical Technician (RMT) provides immediate medical assistance and emergency response services to guests and staff in a high-altitude, outdoor environment. The RMT ensures the health and safety of visitors by administering first aid, performing patient assessments, coordinating with other emergency responders, and providing patient transport as needed. The RMT also collaborates with resort operations and ski patrol to maintain a safe environment for all guests and workers on the mountain. This position reports to the Bike Patrol Manager.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Vocational, Technical school or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of Colorado EMT-P
• Valid, current and unrestricted Driver’s License
• 6 months in a medical emergency response role or Winter Ski Patrol experience preferred
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities **
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and must have a strong aptitude for software
• Familiarity with company rules, regulations, and operational standards
• Proficient mountain biking skills with ability to transport materials uphill and downhill (as required)
• Knowledge of sport injuries, mountain terrain, and altitude-related medical conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to stay calm and perform under pressure in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of the position, including lifting, carrying, and hiking over uneven terrain
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, completing work at a high standard
• Ability to be a team player, working collaboratively with others
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time
